Muay Thai Kickboxing
Muay Thai is the national sport of Thailand and one of the most commonly trained striking arts in the world. It is known as “the art of 8 limbs”, due to the combination of punches, kicks, knees and elbows. Though this sport is known for it’s extreme mental and physical toughness, it has quickly become one of the most commonly used methods of training in the fitness industry.
BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu)
BJJ is a ground fighting sport that applies joint-locks and choke holds to defeat your opponent. It promotes the concept that a smaller, weaker person can defeat a larger, stronger opponent. Jiu-Jitsu is commonly trained for fitness, self defence, sport Jiu-Jitsu or MMA.
No Gi BJJ
No Gi is the same as BJJ, minus the Gi. Since the Gi is no longer in play, the joint-locks and choke holds are created using the physical body. No Gi is typically a faster pace than Gi BJJ and involves more Wrestling.
MMA
In MMA we combine all of the disciplines together. There are aspects of Muay Thai Kickboxing, Boxing, Wrestling and No Gi BJJ. This is an advanced(invite only) class with lots of live training and drills.
Boxing
Boxing is a sport comprised of two athletes fighting using just their hands. It’s a skillful craft that involves strategy and forethought – much like a chess match. It’s known as “the sweet science” because you have to find the perfect balance between hitting and not getting hit.
